Autumn Days

Autumn days, are chilly and bite,

so we eat healthy foods and wrap up tight,

we still get colds - that much is true,

but the papers scream 'this is SWINE FLU!'

How can you sit there while you sneeze?

Get down the doc's - roll up your sleeves!

Get filled with vaccine - it's only fair!

Else there'll be fluey others around out there!'

But what's in this jab, can we not know?

'Just get down the doc's - and stand in row!'

But is it safe? And are we sure?

'Just get the vaccine and don't ask more!'

But we've heard of dangers.. of people dying..

'What have you read?! Can't you see they're all lying?!

We tell the truth! We tell it straight!

Do you think that we'd mess with your fate?!

So get the vaccine - don't make a fuss!

and why not comply? - everyone else does!!'

But we're still not convinced so they pull out their ace,

'The government says it's perfectly safe!'

They've got us there - and what can we do,

but go off and get our jab for swine flu,

'the jab is quite safe - the government says',

we repeat to ourselves as we sit in our daze,

the goverment has our safety at heart,

all else that we hear is simply a farce,

there are vaccine reactions - there'll always be cases!

but we'll go on trusting those suits in high places.
